Letter - W
When I finally decided on the letter I wanted to make 4 W's all put together to make a square center. Then I used the stamp tool and tried to make a cool 3-D echo affect. After I had that I thought about more ways I could fit W's together to form things. So I made two chains of W's to split the image in half. I realized I could use that split to make contrasting sides. I threw a bunch of W's randomly on one side, and the other I used paint splashes. I had used the selection too make sure the paint and W pattern stayed on their respective sides. I had put the W pattern in last realizing that just the red W's wasn't enough to make the space look nice. For the gradient I used a soft purple in the corner to splash a bit of color into the grey W pattern. And I chose a filter that I felt added more action to the picture. The image has a nice contrast between the paint and W's. The darker back ground allows the colors to pop more. The subtle purple gradient helps to bland the right side of the image well. I would say I put a good amount of effort into the picture however I should have put in more planning so that there was a little bit clearer of a design for the picture. I feel it looks a bit random and could be neater, and make better use of W's in some way.
